Divergent, a good book for Sci-fi and dystopian book lovers, tells present day readers what choosing factions would be like. Life in dystopian Chicago isn't as easy as present day Chicago. Veronica Roth writes a story in a way that is easy to understand for older kids. The amount of violence in this book wouldn't be suitable for children at and under age 12. Although this book is very imaginative, I would recommend this fascinating, futuristic story to teenagers. - Rukmini S.
I thought Divergent was a very interesting book. I like it because it has a dystopian setting and was in first person, so you could tell what the main character, Beatrice or "Tris" Prior was thinking. I do not really have any negative comments about the book because it was something I did not dislike and enjoyed reading. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books with dystopian settings and corruption of government with one "hero" in the story. - Alyssa E.
